Well, when I made the original, I used RTP monsters. More of an improvement, I guess. Regardless, I format every single one of them myself, and when you have every monster from CT to format, it takes a while. >_>

To answer some questions, the monsters were done poorly because I rushed them for my deadline to release the demo. I was behind schedule, so it was my fault and it will be corrected in the full game.
Link is immune to earth spells because one of the features is that each member of the party is gifted with one of the four elements; Earth, Fire, Water, and Wind. Link is gifted with the power of earth, so think of it like Pokemon. Earth attacks don't affect him, and he can do more damage to Water-type enemies, and he also weak against fire.
As far as the key blocks go, I was just having issues with the chipset I was using and I said "screw it, the key blocks will do".

Gah! I'm having issues with the ABS. I have it where Link swings his sword, but WHENEVER I so much as just touch the monster, they explode. >_>
